Perplexity AI Computer App Connects to Snowflake to Bring Data Science to Every Team
Perplexity AI has launched a Snowflake App Connector for its Computer product, letting any team member query enterprise data in plain language — no SQL required.

The Announcement
Perplexity AI has launched a new App Connector for Snowflake, integrating its Computer product with one of the most widely used enterprise data platforms in the world. The connector allows any team member — not just data analysts — to query Snowflake databases using plain-language questions and get actionable answers instantly.
Hundreds of Fortune 500 companies rely on Snowflake to store enterprise data, run analytics, and deploy AI. The new connector brings Perplexity conversational AI directly into that environment.
Democratizing Data Science
The core promise: remove the SQL bottleneck. Instead of waiting for the data team to write a query, anyone can ask: What are the top drivers of support tickets this quarter? Which customer segments are growing fastest? What marketing campaigns saw the highest conversions? Computer translates natural language into SQL, runs it against the connected Snowflake instance, and returns structured, human-readable answers.
Built From Perplexity Own Internal Tool
The connector grew out of how Perplexity itself operates. An internal Slackbot lets employees query Snowflake data covering product usage, support tickets, and growth metrics. That bot now handles up to 3,000 queries per week across product, analytics, infrastructure, marketing, and security teams. The same semantic layer architecture is now available to enterprise customers.
Security and Admin Control
The connector is built with Role-Based Access Control so admins define which data each user can access. Computer can be limited to read-only mode, each person authenticates with their own Snowflake credentials via User OAuth, and enterprise data is never used to train models.
Availability
The Connector for Snowflake is available now for Pro, Max, and Enterprise Perplexity users — positioning Computer directly against tools like Databricks AI assistants and making plain-language data access a real option for non-technical teams.
