Anthropic has released an update to Claude Security for enterprise customers, featuring continuous repository scanning, automated fix tracking, and API support.
Claude Security's new continuous scanning interface streamlines enterprise vulnerability management.
- Claude Security now provides continuous code scanning as updates are pushed to connected repositories.
- New features include automated tracking of vulnerability fixes, even when performed outside of the tool.
- The platform has introduced an API and an MCP connector to integrate security workflows directly into development environments.
- The update is currently available in public beta for all Claude Enterprise customers.
Overview of Claude Security Updates
Anthropic has announced a significant update to its Claude Security product, aimed at providing organizations with more persistent and integrated vulnerability detection. The new functionality, which entered public beta on October 21, 2026, shifts the service from point-in-time scanning to a continuous monitoring model that adapts to changes in a codebase over time.
Continuous Monitoring and Automated Tracking
The primary enhancement to the service is its ability to perform automated, recurring scans. After an initial deep baseline scan of a connected repository, Claude Security monitors changes as they are committed. This allows the system to identify new vulnerabilities introduced during the development process without requiring manual scheduling by security teams. The platform supports connectivity with major Git providers, including GitHub (including GitHub Enterprise Server) and GitLab, through secure access tokens.
A notable feature of this update is the automated tracking of vulnerability remediation. Traditionally, many security platforms require manual verification to confirm if a reported issue has been addressed. The updated Claude Security system now monitors the codebase for changes; when a fix is implemented, the tool automatically verifies the modification and marks the corresponding finding as resolved. If the vulnerability is reintroduced in future commits, the system is designed to reopen the finding automatically. This functionality is intended to reduce the manual overhead typically associated with tracking security tickets across distributed development environments.
Contextual Threat Modeling and Customization
To improve the relevance of findings, Anthropic has introduced a knowledge base feature for each project. This allows teams to provide specific context regarding their deployment environment, security policies, and internal controls that might not be visible from the source code alone. Claude Security utilizes this added information to generate a project-specific threat model, which is then used to refine the focus of subsequent scans and filter out findings that may already be mitigated by existing infrastructure.
Additionally, each finding is presented with a severity rating and an explanation of potential exploit paths. These findings may include visual representations of how an attacker could navigate the system to reach the vulnerable code, helping engineering teams prioritize remediations based on actual risk rather than static severity scores.
API and MCP Integration
Anthropic has also expanded the ways in which developers can interact with security data. The new API enables organizations to integrate Claude Security into their existing developer workflows, supporting tasks such as project management, finding resolution, and webhook-based notifications. Furthermore, the inclusion of a Model Context Protocol (MCP) connector allows engineers to interact with findings directly within the Claude interface and Claude Code. This integration facilitates a workflow where security issues can be analyzed, discussed, and addressed within a single session.
Availability and Enterprise Credits
The updated features are currently available to Claude Enterprise customers. To support adoption, Anthropic is offering $25,000 in monthly usage credits for two months, applicable to usage through December 31, 2026. Admins can manage access controls and project visibility through the Claude administrative console, allowing organizations to scale the use of these security features across multiple teams while maintaining centralized oversight. These updates mark a strategic move toward embedding AI-driven security analysis deeper into the software development lifecycle, focusing on automation and reducing the friction between security teams and developers.
